Importance of Affirmations when trying trying to conceive.

Ever heard of the saying, “you are what you think?” Well, it turns out there’s a lot of truth to that. Our thoughts influence our emotions and our emotions influence our actions. So, if we want to make positive changes in our lives, we need to start with our thoughts. That’s where affirmations come in. Affirmations are positive statements that help to reframe our thinking and change our perspective. When we repeat them often enough, they can help to reprogram our subconscious mind and manifest the change we desire in our lives

In this blog post, we’ll explore what affirmations are and why you should be saying them daily—especially if you’re trying to get pregnant later in life.

What Are Affirmations?

An affirmation is any statement that supports a desired outcome or goal. When we repeat affirmations out loud or to ourselves, we’re effectively chatting with our subconscious mind—the part of us that controls 95% of our behaviour—and telling it what we want to achieve.

For example, let’s say you want to get pregnant but you’ve been trying for a while without success. A relevant affirmation, in this case, could be “I am confident and optimistic about becoming pregnant.” By repeating this affirmation daily, you’re helping to shift your mindset from one of scarcity (I can’t get pregnant) to one of abundance (I am confident I will get pregnant). And when your mindset shifts, so too does your experience of reality.

But it’s not just about saying the affirmation—it’s about believing it and feeling it too. The key to success with affirmations is getting yourself fully involved in them. You need to see yourself achieving your goal, feel the associated emotions, and really believe that what you’re affirming is true. Only then will you begin to see results

How Do I Choose the Right Affirmation?

With so many different affirmations out there, how do you know which ones are right for you? In general, the best affirmations are specific, positive statements in the present tense. They should also be something that you can reasonably achieve given your current circumstances.

The power of affirmations lies in their ability to reprogram your subconscious mind. When you repeat them often enough, they become part of your belief system and help to shape your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. This is important when it comes to getting pregnant later in life because these affirmations can help you stay positive and focused. And by replacing negative thoughts with positive ones, you can reduce stress levels and boost your mood—both of which are important for a successful pregnancy.

Here are some affirmations that can help you along the way.

I am fertile and my body is ready to conceive

I am doing everything I can to support a healthy pregnancy

I trust my body to know how to conceive and carry a child

I am surrounded by love and support as I embark on this journey

Every day, I am one step closer to becoming a parent

I am patient, hopeful, and excited about the arrival of my child

Say these affirmations out loud to yourself every day, listen to them every day, and believe in them with all your heart. Remember, the key to success with affirmations is getting yourself fully involved in them. Try and put your doubts aside, and let these positive statements work their magic.
